Founded in 1935 as the city’s first African-American civic organization, the Greater Houston Black Chamber (GHBC) is the best forum in Houston to reach and partner with African-American owned businesses, entrepreneurs, and professionals. Learn how you can become a member or partner with the Greater Houston Black Chamber.
MISSION
Our mission is to secure and retain a broad and diverse base of members that reflect the culture of the Greater Houston community, and provide financial and volunteer resources to implement the Chamber’s initiatives.
VISION
The GHBC is the “go-to” organization for business development and community outreach partnership opportunities in the Houston African-American community.

The GHBC is dedicated to supporting African-American small businesses in the areas of education, certification and accessing contracting opportunities and capital.
Your membership investment in the GHBC enhances a variety of Chamber initiatives. From referrals to networking functions, to business matchmaking, the Chamber’s many business development programs provide opportunities to connect with potential purchasers and build business relationships throughout the year.
